Where do we even begin?! This is going to be a long one! This is by far one of our favorite projects to date. It is the mother lode of all craft rooms! This client was getting ready to move into a new home in Richmond, Virginia. The craft room in their current home had become an overwhelming space where the client didn’t even know where to start with packing.

Tidyish to the rescue!

Most of the time, in a space like this, part of our approach is to edit. However, this client is particularly creative and has many uses for most of her items. The only editing we really did in this space was for broken items, dried-up paint, etc. We categorized all of her crafting items and got them organized into boxes, and everything was labeled for the movers. Then, once we saw what would need to be stored at the new house, we went shopping at The Container Store! This client was super trusting of our team and gave us permission to do what we thought would work best in the new space.

Our dream!

We brought in several Elfa drawer systems in this space. The Elfa drawer systems from The Container Store are known for their versatility and ability to help maximize storage. Plus, they’re also just pretty to look at! The Container Store also has great stackable craft drawer systems that were the perfect choice for all of our client’s tiny embellishments. (PS: In our packages at Tidyish, we include all product shopping and returns!)

As we arrived at the new house, we encountered a small hiccup. In addition to the items we had packed from the craft room of the old home, several new items had been packed from other areas of the old home that needed to be incorporated into the new craft room as well.

We love a challenge!

Our solution was to go ahead and unpack what we had already categorized and organized into the new space. We then came back to incorporate all of the new items that we had not accounted for and worked them into the space. We cannot wait for you to see these before and after images!
